Strong pitching leads way for 7-0 Red Wings Win

By Connor Griffin

Noah Fisher started the scoring with a blooper to right that would score Dylan Swarmer. Brock Kauffman followed that with an RBI-single of his own.

In the 4th, Swarmer came through for Geneva with an RBI single for a 3-0 lead.

A two-RBI single by Noah Fisher made it a 5-0 game.

Swarmer came through again in the 8th, with an RBI double. A past ball during the next at-bat would score another run for a 7-0 Geneva lead.

Elmira got one back with a solo home run from Preston Moore in the top of the 9th.

Geneva had a strong performance on the mound. Starter Jacob Maser threw seven shutout innings while striking out four batters. Harrison Treble and Tim Blasdell closed it out for the win.

Geneva returns home on Saturday at 7:05 as they take on the Newark Pilots.
